Blunts And Nunchunks And Shinobi Ninjas By Helen Bach

It is very hard to be objective when you love a band for who they are. You can see past a slew of weak with an ounce of love. Shinobi Ninja is a band I fell in love with first in personality. Bands these days are so full of themselves its repulsive. Shinobi Ninja is the hardest working band around. Non stop plugging ,climbing, promoting but with not an ounce of arrogance. Not a shred of ego, and if any up and comer deserved Swaggah, its them. They own their genre

But when I hear lines like “Luke I am your fathah youre my ninja spawn”, it doesn’t matter what your persona is anymore. Now I’m on board for fun.

“Blunts and Nunchucks” is musical confetti being blasted into your face. The force of sounds and rhythms and assaults your ears, leaving you slightly off balance. Now lets get this straight. I’m a hardcore punk girl. So what am I taking from these beat boxes?

I am entranced by the non stop movement. The fluctuations of genre, from banging metal to pounding dance its un nerving but in a very good way. This is not your fathers dance music.

“School” has to be one of the most amazing songs Ive heard in literally years and just when you get comfortable head banging … you’re back to scratching and all along a beat remains constant. Like a friend holding your hand in a complicated terrain.

I am stunned at diversity in this music. You can not tire of this. Cuz it just doesn’t stop.

You’re on Space Mountain blasting a warp speed into the unknown. “It Must Be Nice”, helps to add a calm to an otherwise topsy turvy ride.

Ive listened to this about 5x now and every time I pick up something new.

Feeling adventurous, grab it. Hang on tight and and enjoy the ride.
