1. Who Knows Where The Time Goes – Sandy Denny – This is a very precise and beautiful solo take on the song given a more vigorous workout by Fairport Convention. Given added by poignancy by her early death, it both sees time as immoveable and watches as it disappears – A+
2. Black Math – The White Stripes – That riff is a force of nature – A
3. The Farthest Light – Freedy Johnston – The highlight of Wednesday gig, takes a hard pushed metaphor as far as it can go – A
4. Applause – Lady Gaga – Getting its ass kicked by Katy, but it was released a coupla days later – A
5. Wichita Lineman – Glen Campbell – Glen takes a recent stab at the classic. Not that it needed one – B+
6. Texas And Tennessee – Lucero – Amercana, right?
7. Missing Pieces – Jack White – Off last year’s solo, it feels like heavy breathing rap blues – A
8. Oh, The Joy – Trixie Whitley – Trixie seems to be cracking just on top of a chord change – B+
9. Vivir Mi Vida – Marc Anthony – The hook opens the song and seems to lurk in the corner of the track waiting for an opening –A
10. Hold On, We’re Going Home – Drake – I was ice cold first time around on this r&b track. Second time round? Less so, but still not all the way . Ps this is his 33rd top ten r&b song – B
