Welcome to” Terra Firma” my friends. How I missed this yesterday I have no idea but the band has released a single in anticipation of their new lp “Lost Boy” due out June 8.
“Terra Firma” starts out a bit strange. Lets put it this way, I checked my speaker cord. Yeah, Im a jerk, so what Ive been having trouble with well anyway..and the muffled intro seemed odd.
When you start off like that your put on edge and what that anticipation does is effectively blast you across the room once the song gets going.
Listen 1- I strain loving the sound thinking it doesn’t sound typical mcmb at all…
Listen 2- the Magpie walks in the room instantly headbanging while fist pumping with “YEAH MCMB!!”
Which leads me to say that this song has enough new to be interesting yet enough familiarity to be identified.
