Rest In Peace Ronnie James Dio.
The music world lost a legend and Heavy Metals founding father.
Without Dio, there would be no Metallica, no Anthrax, no Slayer, no Testament, no other heavy metal band. No hard rock band. His voice and music inspired a totally new genre of music.
Dio was the person, who most music insiders say started the famous “devil horn” hand gesture. To this day, all rock stars and fans raise the “devil horns” in the air. It is tribute to the music they all love, now it is a tribute to the man that started it all…Ronnie James Dio.
I am listening to the classic Holy Diver as I write this post. I wish I was able to see Dio in concert, but never had the chance. I heard he always put on an 100% kick-ass show.
