The English Beat has not released an album since Special Beat Service in 1982
But well its time so Dave Wakeling has thrown together some songs and is shopping them out to record companies. Whats interesting is that they are considering just releasing it on their own without label support.
Apparently labels are willing to release but not finance recordings anymore yet still have the same demands and restrictions as if they bankrolled the project.
Either that or no one is biting.
Regardless I would love old school Ska to come back. It is clinically proven you cant be bitchy while listening to ska music and its so damn fun.
With all the screaming around I would welcome the trill of the horns.
