Rolling Stones Top Ten Albums At the Half Way Mark, 2013

doesn’t suck

So Rolling Stone have offered up their top ten albums of the first half of 2013 and half of them made my list and two of them made my top ten. Plus, I forgot about two which would be on my list (just past the 70 albums mark).

So I guess I can’t complain too hard since a few of my faves are awaiting release, and the only breathtaking omission is Laura Marling. I mean, did you expect them to name check Claire’s Diary?

The grade next to each album is mine, not theirs.

1. Modern Vampires of The City – Vampire Weekend – A-

2. Yeezus – Kanye West – A

3. Random Access Memory – Daft Punk – B+

4. Wrote A Song For Everyone – John Fogerty – D-

5. The Next Day – David Bowie – B

6. Jake Bugg – Jake Bugg – C

7. Trouble Will Find Me – the National – B+

8. Amok – Atoms for Peace – B+
