I have seen a lotta hysteria over teen idols in my day but you’d have to go back to Beatlemania to see anything like what is happening with Justin Bieber.
Justin is a talented fellow no doubt, and cute in a he better not join the church choir sorta way, but news that a mini set for a morning TV show in Sydney, Australia, was due to “mass hysteria” is baffling.
I have read the reports and it appears the police overreacted (there was a surge at 2am and the cops, underpowered because apparently they hadn’t bothered reading the reports from the UK and the USA and everywhere else and were surprised by the many kids who showed.
Still -a scary thing!!
