The Black Crowes will be releasing a double album of all acoustic material on 8/3/10. The album will be called “Croweology”. Definitely going to pick this one up. It is a acoustic recording of over 20 songs from their 20 year history.
Their last album (which was a double album as well) had a laid back acoustic feel to it. I loved that album and thought it was their best since their debut, “Shake Your Money Maker”.
The band will also kick off their “Say Goodnight to the Bad Guys”. Which will be 3 hours a night of Black Crowes. An hour and a half will be acoustic, and the next hour and half will be all electric. Definitely a must see. If you miss this, then you may have to wait a long while to see them again. As Helen bach mentioned yesterday, the band is taking a very long hiatus after this year.
