Biggie Unlawful Death Dismissal Points The Way by Iman Lababedi

Let’s see if I can explain this one.

In 1997 Biggie was shot to death.

The name on the tip of everybody’s tongue was Suge Knight getting revenge for 2Pac.

Biggies estate sued the LAPD in 2002 because of allegations the LAPD were in on the hit.

In 2005 it was declared a mistrail because the LAPD had hidden a “trove of evidence” in the case and the city was forced to pay the estate $1M. And it has been reworking its way through the courts since.

And the estate still can’t get their hands on the LAPD’s files because it is an ongoing invstigation and the LAPD won’t release them.

So April 5th, both sides agreed to dismiss the case with the understanding the estate can sue again later so the LAPD can go after Biggie’s killers.

And if that is what the LAPD can do after after to cough up a million bucks just think of what they’re gonna do with Elliott Smith’s case.
