Active Viewin': Concert Picks Week Of March 25th, 2013

Well, really was there ever any doubt? If the kid is in town she's the one to beat and she is in town so she is the one to beat. Taylor Swift will be bringing Red to the Prudential on Wednesday and you will be getting glam, legs, the entire album, four classics and a cover all in two hours. You miss this? Don't come blaming me.

Monday – Sigur Ros – MSG – Epic soundscapes from Iceland

Tuesday – The Rocket Summer – Highline Ballroom – A long term fave of rock nyc, imagine if you will Tom Petty was a sweet unassuming guy. That's The Rocket Summer.

Thursday – Kate Nash – MHOW – I thought her latest album was a big disappointment but not that big? After all, Kate is the closest thing we have to Lily Allen

Friday – Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds – Beacon Theater – I doubt I will enjoy it as much as Alyson Camus did because I don't like the album, which he is performing in full, as much as she did. But I think I will like it fine.

Saturday – Moving Sidewalks – BB Kings – The ZZ Top guy Billy Gibbons first band were garage rockers and really good ones.

Sunday – The Voluptuous Horror Of Karen Black – Santos Playhouse – Garage punk playacting like Alice Cooper meets the Cramps without the swampiness.
