Based upon the coming attractions I’d rather go to a Slash concert than watch the upcoming movie “My Own Love Song” starring Renee Zellweger as a singer songwriter left paralyzed after a car accident. Forrest Whitaker is her whacked out manager trying to get her to live again. And if you can’t see where this is going (no, he’s black -not there) you haven’t been to many movies.
BUT, Renee sings a new Bob Dylan song “Life Is Hard” and surprisingly well. And though the “extract” I’ve seen with Renee singing (pretty well again) “This Land Is My Land” is risible in the extreme, Dylan’s “Precious Angel” is on the soundtrack and it includes the legend “Music By Bob Dylan”.
So skip the movie and buy the soundtrack.
