1. Eamond Andrews – Soft Machine – With the death earlier this week of the other Machiner, Kevin Ayers, I've been thinking about writing something on the band. I tend to focus on Robert Wyatt. This is an eeery 12 minute march into sound modulation and noise tinkering – Grade: B+
2. 3AM – Kate Nash – A terrific song, it is ear candy of the first order that catches you and keeps you. She is playing at Bowery Ballroom on March 28th, but I don't see how I can fit her in – Grade: A
3. Gal Wan More – Shonelle And Beenie Man – The production is hip hop, the riddems are reggae and the vocal is reggae meets hip hop. Great chorus – Grade: B+
4. Walking In Your Footsteps – Shout Out Louds – Catchy as hell Swedish pop by a buncha old timers – Grade: B
5. Karate Chop (Remix) – Future – Lil Wayne joins in and they both provide staccato, karate chop stype raps – Grade: B
6. Freaks – French Montana – Nicki Minaj adds her voice to this reggae rap mash up – Grade: C
7. Rich Girls – The Virgins – This song is why the Virgins can fill Bowery Ballroom after five years of dicking around – Grade: A
8. Risseldy, Rosseldy – Jill Trinka – Scottish folk song about a man who beats his wife for being lazy… pleasant right? It is the song just before the birds attack the school children in Alfred Hitchcocks masterpiece – Grade: A
9. Mirrors – Justin Timberlake – OK, an 8 minute tribute to his wife, which pulls it out (though only just) with an extended coda: "You are the love of my life" – Grade: B+
10. Into My Arms – Nick Cave – You know, one of those bad slow ones he writes all the time – Grade: A
