Several years ago I had the misfortune of continuing a rock nyc fight with "Searching For Elliott Smith" Director Gil Reyes over the phone. He wanted to film me for the video portion of his ridiculous documentary, I agreed as long as he would allow me to interview him in return/ Apparently that didn't go over to well.
The conversation was extremely nasty and Reyes refused to reciprocate so I refused.
Since then, I can't read the guys name without rolling my eyes. If Reyes was half as good a director he is a self-publicist, if he had actually done some work (need I remind you: it was Alyson Camus who interviewed the doctor who performed the Smith autopsy), he might have a useful product to push.
Who makes a movie and then does nothing but unsuccessfully push it for years on end? How despicable.
I have no idea how poor ol Mary Lou Lord got caught up with the twit. But for $40 you can meet and greet both of them. For $60 you can pass on Gil.
