My Fave Tracks, Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

1. Judas – Lady Gaga – This is what Lady Gaga does: bottom heavy swing with a refried tune and a vocal miasma. She better have more than this on the album.

2. Knocked Up – Kings Of Leon – Killer track off a pretty good album that stiffered.

3. How Long Has This Been Going On – How good is it? Nearly as good as Armstrong -better sung, but a touch too bluesy.

4. Leeloo – For Science – One of the greatest songs ever written in less than a minute an a half.Joe Steinhardt, of course.

5. Keep Your Heart – TV On the Radio – the middle eight is the best minute of music this year.

6. Roc Boys (And the Winner Is…) – Jay-Z -Mmaybe he should consider this, think about it, deal out why he was at his best this decade when he played a role.

7. I'm Still In Love With You – New Edition

8. Fear Of A Black Planet – Public Enemy – A great song, an important concept of racism illuminated (the "white man/black woman/black baby" is as clear as you can get). And Chck D who can really, really rap.

9. Knives And pens – Black Veil Brides – Their first hit is a heavy metal meltdown plus screams.

10. Love Is Eternal Scared Light – Paul Simon – two songs in one, and one of them is great.
