
1. A Feather’s Not A Bird – Rosanne Cash – I am not sure the central conceit works because the metaphor is too mixed, but it is such a strong image (“a river runs through me”) on a certain level it doesn’t much matter – A-
2. All or Nothing At All – Christian music shows its root in Bono bombast and while it is all anthems for the voiceless, at least the song is catchy – B+
3. Kills Me When You’re Gone – Phil Gammage – A true adventure in blues on this dramatic self-penned rocker – A
4. Greens And Blues – Pixies – Catchy enough but his voice is always a little meh – B+
5. Ginny Come Later – Brian Hyland – The “Sealed With A Kiss” guys other pop idol humdinger – A
6. What Can’t I Put Down – Jon Pardi – Sure, we’ve been here before but this guy has a little more backbone and a somewhat better sense of song – B+
7. Open Up (That’s Enough) – Death Weather – The same ol same ol blues and whinge with Jack White and the chick from the Kills but still pretty good you know – B+
8. Hunter Hayes Medley – Home Free – Is it possible I underestimated Hayes??? – B+
9. That Girl – Jennifer Nettles – Exists ti make Lady Antebellum sound hardcore – C
10. After Hours (feat Afrobeat) – The Crystal Method – The vocal makes it work and the competing beats keep it afloat – B+
