The Louvin Brothers doing Gods' work

The Louvin Brothers doing Gods’ work

1. The Christian Life – The Louvin Brothers – As a child of the 60s, it is the Byrds version I know, and as a Gram Parsons fanatic you better believe I adore his version but having said all of that, the Louvin Brothers harmonies here equal, aybe surpass the Byrds – A

2. Beer with Jesus – Thomas Rhett – I’m not even nearly Christian and I still think this is deeply deeply offensive -it is so bad it is pure camp. The worst song ever – F

3. You Don’t Love Got If You Don’t Love Your Neighbor -Rhonda Vincent – Not bad, not Carl Story, but not bad – A-

4. Gloryland Way – Carl Story – Maybe the greatest country Gospel singer of all time – A

5. Touchdown Jesus – Tim McGraw – which makes trash like this all worse – F

6. Whenever God Shares His Light On Me – Waterdeep – CCN don’t have the vocal chops but they do have the hear for this Celtic cowboy cover – B+

7. Blind Threats – Schoolboy Q – Featuring one Raekwon which explains why it sounds like RZA produced the backing track – B+

8. Fragile – Sting – This is so bad, it is such a boring rip off – C-

9. Necio – Romeo Santos – The only excuse for a featured player on the entire album, carlos actually adds something to the song – B+

10. Hurricane – The Fray – I swear, I am really looking for a song I don’t hate from this band… I guess this isn’t… well, it kinda sucks but they’ve done worse – C-
