3 – Footloose – Kenny Loggins – a bad movie deserves a bad song, this is to dancing what “Movin Out” is to ballet – D+

4 – Against All Odds (Take A Look AT Me Now) – Phil Collins – And he wonders why people dridicule him -awful pop song – D

5 – Jump – Van Halen – Despite its somewhat dubious advice, this is synth pop turns rock and roll… tell me Eddie didn’t learn anything from Thriller – A

6 – Hello – Lionel Richie – Goodbye – D-

7 – Owner Of A Lonely Heart – Yes – The prog rockers make a pop move, and it stinks – D

8 – Ghostbusters – Ray Parker, Jr – A great little hook, “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts” from a great little movie, this is a catchy hit – A-

9 – What’s Love Got To Do With It – Tina Turner – Huge success for the gams from heaven with a second lease on life (or is it third?) on this wilful, syncical disco groover – A-

10 – Karma Chameleon – Culture Club – Boy George had the voice from heaven and he got the song he needed on this gorgeous best new romantic moment ever – A
