Alreadyrocking

Alreadyrocking

1. Misogyny Drop Dead – Planning To Rock – Janine Rostron is an acquired taste and I recommend seeing her live to get the full impact of her gender uncertain agitprop, though this song isn’t so out there the bass line doesn’t keep you in and keep you there – A-

2. People Who Died – Drive-By Trucks – The Jim Carroll crazy with a Southern accent and more pump than the original – A

3. Here For A Good Time – George Strait – Straight up no chaser country rocker – A

4. Iota – Angel Olsen – Working my way through the album looking for egregious mistakes -not on this acoustic number – B+

5. Verlaine Shot Rimbaud – Lydia Loveless – How good is the album? This song has the worst name of of all time and it still ain’t bad – B+

6. Give Me Back My Hometown – Eric Church – One of the maybe three real good songs on the newbie – B+

7. I Just Do – The Feeling – Piano ballad, very very felt – B+

8. Horizon (There Is A Road) – Suzanne Vega – Oh please, no – C

9. Come On In My Kitchen – The Allman Brothers – Robert Johnson cover from 1992 – A

10. Kiss Me – Candice Glover – Ordinary but not average r&b ballad plus modern production techniques – B
