If we can’t worship the Shins may we all agree Noah and the Whale are the greatest folk band in the universe today and if there is a better this is the first day of not loving you song this year I sure aint heard it.

Noah and the Whale have a three day residency at the begining of November but it’s a Monday thru Wednesday and I don’t see how I can hang out till 11pm to see em so I’m bumming.

They really are that good by the way -I’ve heard three songs off the newbie and one from the previous album and I love em all.

Anyway, if you have been laid off or merely laid and then off with your head, here is the dates of their tour:

20 – West Hollywood, CA – Roxy Theater

22 – San Francisco, CA – Cafe Du Nord Swedish American Hall
24 – Seattle, WA – Crocodile
25 – Portland, OR – Doug Fir Lounge
28 – Madison, WI – Majestic Theater
29 – Chicago, IL – Lakeshore Theatre
30 – Pontiac, MI – Pike Room @ The Crofoot
31 – Toronto, Ontario – The Horseshoe Tavern

November 2009
