I rarely watch TV in the morning, but I stumbled on this Friday morning, and I couldn’t believe what was happening… Why did someone even book Corey Feldman? And do you even remember about the Goonies star? This is beyond my comprehension but his performance was so bizarre and the music so bad that I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears. The former child actor, who was befriended by Michael Jackson then later unfriended by the pop star, had a very very difficult upbringing, but this is not a good excuse for releasing bad music.
Feldman performed ‘Go 4 It’ during the Today show, looking like a mix between Darth Vader (that black leather hoodie!) Billy Corgan and Skrillex, surrounded by angels, his female babe musicians… The theme of the album is good versus evil, which could explain a lot, but even the artwork looks truly awful, and of course the whole thing is dedicated to Michael Jackson
The dancing was so curious it was laughable, a sort of insane and forced Michael Jackson’s imitation – he looks so stiff that this is falling in the satire category – while the music, a mix of industrial electronica meets hip hop, will certainly make you cringe, but wait for the chorus, ‘We got nothing to lose so baby let’s go for it’… exactly, he has nothing to lose, but this is something to make all the angels in heaven cry. I don’t even want to comment on Feldman’s singing, since I was laughing the whole time.
Actually it would be hilarious if this didn’t look sad, very sad . Do you feel bad for that guy? You should if you are aware of his ‘Coreyography’ detailing years of molestation when he was a child actor…. This performance looks like a desperate attempt to go back in the spotlight, but I guess people are taking him seriously because the album contains 22 songs featuring collaborations with Hip Hop artists such as Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Snoop Dogg, Doc Ice (Whodini/UTFO), Kurupt and up and coming rap artist Demario ‘SB’… and at the top of this, there are contributions from Kaya Jones (Pussycat Dolls), R1ckone (Black Eyed Peas), Scott Page (Pink Floyd), B.Howard, POET (Black Eyed Peas), Dave Dunn (Infectious Grooves), and many many others. So may be there is a market for this crap!
