Ah yes, it is all go The Voice nowadays, that popular vocal contest where pop stars battle to manage up and coming singers in an American Idol type spinoff till, ta dah, Blake Shelton wins.
When they aren’t doing that they are your favorite reality show, Blake divorces Miranda and Gwen divorces Gavin and Gwen claims she is now that girl, going out all the time and she and Blake are just having fun.
That’s the fun but, here us the other The Voice, Adam Levine, biting the hand that feeds him to big time interviewee Howard Stern: “Record labels are – our business is the worst right now. No one knows what they’re doing. When the baton is passed post-‘Voice,’ there’s some problems. People take over after we do this great job of building these people up on the show. There’s some real issues there. “The rollout of all that is still such a mess. And by the way, just to clarify, this has nothing to do with what happens on NBC or with the people. In that time, we do so much great shit for these singers, and then they go to a record label that I won’t mention. But they go to a record label that fucks it up. I don’t understand why they don’t care. That’s what drives me absolutely bonkers. And then it makes me feel defeated on my end because there’s really not much I can do …. And I’m glad I’m saying this on air so maybe the label will get angry and fuck off, so we can get somebody else to do it.”
For the record Maroon 5 is signed to Interscope which is owned by Universal.
