Comment: Loyle Carner deserves the Stevie Smith reference, he isn’t as great as the late suicide, but then again Stevie was a poet and not a spoken word or rap artist. Koyke comes from a similar place to the great Kate Tempest, and between the two of them, and grime guys like Stormzy, they sound like the true sound of post-punk UK.
