The World: For the people directly affected, and for the rest of world as well, one terrorist bomb anywhere is as bad as another. From the New York Times: “The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack outside the offices of a security force that provides protection for senior Afghan government officials. At least 28 people were killed.” Kabul is Paris is Brussels is New York City. It is simple, either every life is sacred or none of them are.
Live: What a disappointment and under mi’d for three quarters and a brutally sludgy mix was at Earth, Wind And Fire and Chicago go yesterday. WHy so much treble for a funk band? A real shame.
More Live: I picked up a ticket for Paul McCartney at Metlife on a Sunday -a form of torture, date and venue wise. Also, with no gigs till Dizzee Rascal, May 7th, I added Pearl Jam on May 2nd… I had held off because there was only a Sunday but the inclusion of a Monday sent me to Stubhub where I got a ticket at not much more than face.
Recorded: Finished with EW&F and Chicago and on to…? I am prepping for my Kissin’ Cousins review and listening to the recording I made of EW&F last night…
Sports: Stephen Curry injured so I think the Warriors can kiss goodbye another roll over to the championship. Let’s hope his ankle injury is nothing serious.
