Her Majesty’s A Pretty Nice Girl: “The queen kicked off celebrations in Britain that will include pageantry, equestrian displays, an appearance by Helen Mirren … and longer pub hours.” I’ve never much cared for her one way or the other, but talk about long reigns, 64 years and counting, and she has already beaten Queen Victoria by a year and counting. However, I don’t think anybody will call this the Elizabethan years, the way it was once the Victorian age. After all this years, she still isn’t doing anything much.

Recorded: The great thing about deciding to go to the Santigold concert is it gives me the chance the listen extensively to the very best hip hop popster not named M.I.A. and more, a woman who can record pop crossover that sounds great and is , in fact, great. Many years ago I went to see her at SummerStage (before I started rock nyc and got on Press Lists) and couldn’t get in, I sat outside and listened! So, yeah, I am a huge fan and listening to the setlist and I am amazed.
