Recorded: I am a big Shellshag fan but still completely missed their new album, released on Tuesday, Why’d I Have To Get So High. An astounding 15 songs in 36 minutes, the follow up to 2013’s one of the best albums of the year Shellshag Forever, is a rush through the aging process. Grade: B+
Live: Art Garfunkel made the most he possibly could do with what is left with his voice in 2015.
Sports:Jets went to London and brought their own toilet paper and beat the Dolphins, and the Yanks and the Mets are busy getting swept by any one who will let them, and the Astros and the ANgels are bursting into the playoffs.
The World: Billions From U.S. Fail to Sustain Foreign Force? Yup, remember the $550M they spent on 500 insurgents in Syria who promptly quit before ISIS caught em. Not with of our BO’s finest moments.
Death: Denis Healy, once a leading figure in the UK Labour Party, dead at 98.
Television: Another season of SNL is here, but with the increasingly ghastly godawful so 2013 it ain’t funny Miley Cyrus guesting on every level, you have to wonder why bother. Really, Taran Killam in the Will Farrell role? How is that working out?
simultaneously self-effacing and egomaniacs
essentially a disco remix of “Rocket Man” featuring one of the the UK’s biggest stars…
“I literally really need you to jump up and down”
Friday night might kill us but Thursday evening is a blast
it just isn’t the triumph she needed after six years
an impressive sonic ride.
a high-spirited Post Pandemic anthem
a memorable band who were never better than here
almost Pink Floyd-esque
