These Days: Sunday, February 14th, 2016

Valentine’s Day: You may well remember my gal, though she doesn’t write so much here anymore, Helen Bach. To her, and, To paraphrase Van Morrison, for anyone who has ever loved, anyone who has ever tried to love, Happy Valentine’s Day

Death: Just because somebody dies, doesn’t make them  a good guy. Justice Antonin Scalia died after Quail hunting all day. And while, obviously, I am sure we can all agree about him more or less let’s give Patton Oswalt the last word:  “However you thought of Scalia, that crazy fucker wrote a dissent like Lester Bangs after pounding a bottle of Woolite.”

Weather: Minus 20 degrees out there, no really, that isn’t a typo… so happy we got to hibernate these past couple of days  and to second my buddy Jahn Xavier, I just hope the homeless have been rounded off the streets and sent somewhere warm and not dangerous.

Recorded: I am listening to a ripped copy of The Life Of Pablo, though I don’t believe it is the finished album, also Elvis’s eighth album and the last of the Dylan Bootleg Vol 12.

Live: Next week is without a doubt one of the weakest weeks for live music not over Christmas and New Year. Perfect weather to do nothing but write in.
