These Days: Saturday, October 10th, 2015

News: Al Jardine of the Beach Boys visited Strawberry Fields to pay tribute to the late great John Lennon on what would have been his 75th birthday. And Sean? Sean is 40 years old, and the rain it raineth everyday.

Sports: Cubs won, Blue Jays Lost, Rangers won and…. the Mets’ Jacob deGrom out pitched the Dodgers  Clayton Kershaw , and David Wright had a great return to the postseason (a terrific walk at the . I don’t much care for the Mets but one of my best friend’s father was a huge Mets fan. The father died last month so just this once…

Recorded: Not the worst week for music, both the Zombies and Toby Keith are getting me off, especially the latter: as good time an old school country album as you’re gonna hear in 2015.

Live: Stevie Wonder on my mind, good seats as well, I can’t wait for Wednesday. Meanwhile, let’s see how the rest of October rolls out, though I do have a couple of excellent hip hop concerts and Jingle Ball on the horizon.

Celebrity: Shia Labeouf arrested for public intoxication in Austin. “LaBeouf tried to cross the street against a “Don’t Walk” signal around 7:30 p.m. at E. 6th and San Jacinto Blvd.” Back up a second, they arrested him for JAY WALKING???  Where is Shiaf allowed to act out?

More Celebrity: According to an interview in the New York Times, Elvis Costello’s dad was on the same line up where Lennon told the rich guys to rattle their jewelry.
