These Days: Saturday, June 11th, 2016

War: After 15 years of not defeating terrorists, the US Armed Forces are going big again, how do you fight China and Russia? Better still, why do you fight em? Russia and China is to the States what Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams is to Beyonce.

Live: I did get a ticket for Dixie Chicks Monday, to make up for the decision not to catch Conor Oberst and Kacey Musgraves tonight at McCarren Pool tonight. Why? Because it is such a pain in the ass to get to the middle of Brooklyn, it isn’t worth the hastle. Plus, last time I saw Conor he was on the boring side I THINK -the audience was so chatty it was difficult to asses.

Recorded: I did mention I was going to see the Dixie Chicks, right? Well, I was listening to their setlist and I really think I never got them quite right. I adored the Natalie Maines solo album a couple of years ago but disliked their “Not Ready To Make Nice” so much, I never really gave them the listening they deserved. Light years ahead of the Lady Antebellums and Sugarlands of the world, I can’t wait to see em on Monday.

Sports: The Warriors are one win away from winning it all. I have no horse in the race but who is the better player, Curry or Lebron? The stats say Lebron, but it isn’t really accurate, you’d have to look at only the past four years.

Theatre: I saw Hamilton a coupla weeks ago, and wondered if it might be worth another look, so I checked out prices. Everything is four figures till July 10th, and then it is the high three figures. So high three figures WITHOUT MIRANDA.

Miranda rights: Did you read the Rolling Stone cover story? Man, it sucked. Talk about nothing is revealed…oh and it is good thing that Miranda is playing a politician because fuck knows he speaks like one. Oh yeah, and you like Biggie: we got it.

Race For The Presidency: Clinton and Trump call each other unfit to lead… and they are both right.
