One Week Down: A Max of 103 weeks to go. And what a week. The Islamophobe (very strange, right? given POTUS’ dealings with Saudi) has barred the citizens of seven predominantly Muslim countries from entering the country. Unless the citizens are Christian. Draw your own conclusions. Meanwhile: “Refugees Detained at U.S. Airports, Prompting Legal Challenges to Trump’s Immigration Order”.
The Anti-Abortion March In DC: There weren’t that many of them but they did a good job of it.
Concerts: I caught Eric Church last night, very last minute but I bailed on Falling In Reverse and while I’ll leave my review for tomorrow, I was favorably impressed. If he had better songs, he might be as great as he claims to be. I am off to the Complexions Contemporary Ballet New York premiere of “Star Dust,” a tribute to Bowie.
Death: Governor Andrew Cuomo at the Wayne Barrett Memorial Service: “The first time I heard my father curse, he was on the phone with Wayne Barrett. He could be a tad harsh — just a tad.”
More Death: The great actor, Sir John Hurt, Ollivander to you, the Naked Civil Servant to me, the Elephant man to the me generation, dead at 71 years of ages. Barbara Hale, Della Street in the old Perry Mason Show, dead at 94.
Old Music: I’ve been going back through my Eric Church and the problem remains constant, he isn’t as clever as he needs to be and he doesn’t write as well as he might. But he can be great. Since I couldn’t stream it, I wasted $9.99 on the new Ty Segall.
New Music: Not that great a week and not a strong first month either.
Headlines: “Gucci Mane reportedly booted an Army veteran out of his seat at Atlanta Falcons game” Haaaaaa…
Hall Of Jerks: Neil Young to induct (I nearly wrote indict) Pearl Jam at this Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame.

Rolling Stone: Jann wenner handing over the reigns to his kids.
