These Days: Friday, October 16th, 2015
Sport: Wow, is this depressing or what? The Mets bloody won and when DeGrom gave up those two runs, I could have sworn it was only a matter of time but there you go. Now the Mets are in and the Yanks are doing their very best Derek Jeter impression -meaning, retired. It was a good guy and a good series. Now, let’s see what they have left. For sure, they need more hitting but that’s playoff baseball for you.
Recorded: I love the Jamie Lawson album but then again I’m a sentimental mush, Anderson Paak’s songs the Game’s album is my other bigger than biggie one. Otherwise, a somewhat iffy week.
Live: That David Lynch gig November 4th. I keep on thinking of Katy Perry playing the hallowed hall and breaking out into a hot sweat. If I could get guest listed I might well go. A big if of course.
Homeless; I don’t know what the answer is but I do know this: when members of the UN claim to have no homeless on their streets it is either because they have eradicated homelessness or because they have hidden the homeless. Which of these sounds most likely to you?
Life Support: Lamar Odom, former NBA player, took two hookers and a great deal of drugs for a seven day party and couldn’t make it through the third, when ten herbal Viagra and boatloads of other drugs caught up with. he is currently brain dead at the age of 34.
