These Days: Friday, March 11th, 2016
Recorded: If it is Friday, it must be all the new releases, but I count up only 25, knocking on 30 if I search deeper, as opposed to the usual 30. And really, nothing that mind expanding either… for Primal Scream and James, to UK players from the 90s, it was a huge lost opportunity to get heard above the clutter. I just heard the leadoff James single and it is great so, really a pity. Of what we have, the new Emmy The Great is a pleasant surprise.
Live: Still sick I blew off New Order yesterday and believe me, I couldn’t be more depressed about it. This is the worst year for concerts for me in over seven years. The next one I’m signed up for is Bruce on the 28th…
Blame Canada: I was once hanging out with a buddy of mine in a downtown bar and the place was packed and his college roommate was with him and I have never met anyone better with women in my life: I wish I had been taking notes.
