These Days: Friday, June 10th, 2016

Death: Even the greatest get laid to rest, Muhammed Ali buried in Louisville last night. There is something so tremendously sad about it all, it just ends for us all, even those who change the world.

Recorded: Still early days yet, but if this week finds a better new release than AMy Klein’s immaculate Fire, I will be very surprised. Try “Yes Men”

Live: Heavy duty concerts on the horizon, Daddy Yankee Vs Don Omar is huge for Reggaeton fans, and Prophets Of Rage at Barclay in August is another biggie. Next one for me is Rufus Wainwright at Carnegie Hall followed by Disclosure at Forest Hills.

The Race For The Presidency – After meeting with Bernie Sanders, POTUS endorsed Hillary Clinton and the party are now behind her in ways that Trump can only dream of.

More Race: Trump just told the GOP to “man up”. The hope for Trump haters is that he now implodes, or perhaps explodes, that he goes a bridge too far.

The Weekend: Still reeling from last years depressing Governors Ball, it is certainly worth noting that if GB move it a coupla weeks last year, at least we won’t blame em for it.
