The Earliest Bird: The Top New Release Of 2-5-21 – 2-11-21, Cardi B’s “Up” Reviewed

Last summer, Cardi B released “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, a meeting of minds in praise of gynecological correctness and, of course, the bad ass pussy itself. Is there any greater sexual reward for a man than a woman who is so sexually excited her lubricant drenches the bed. Except… in a typical and somewhat disgraceful male supremacy move, men have made women feel guilty for their pleasure. On “WAP,” Cardi brough female lubrication out of the shadows and saved a whole lotta females from a whole lotta headaches.

That was then, this is now, and Cardi B returns on a featureless sex burner “Up,” she rides Chicago drill, almost completely unadorned, and much more on the money than the video, with Cardi detailing the usual unusual pursuit of dick while announcing her position at the top of the food chain.

With a catchy as hell hook, “if it’s up, then it’s up, then it’s up, then it’s stuck,” she explains as she seduces men and slaps down women and smacks up men, the Not Safe For Home best in class rapper has a hit here, though not another “WAP”. The song is an earworm with just beats and a bass note by note, the song won’t leave your consciousness. She still has ythe biggest big ass pussy in the business…

Grade: B+
