Tenacious D Announce First US Tour In Five Years,… And Probably A New Album

Jack Black

Tenacious D are an all-time favorite of many people I know. These two best friends are simply the missing link between hard rock/heavy metal and silly comedy, they can play but they certainly can make you laugh too. If Jake Black’s theatrical delivery combined with Kyle Gass’ guitar skills were legendary a few years ago, the funny duo hasn’t released anything since 2012 (‘Rize of the Fenix’) and hasn’t toured for 5 years! It is actually difficult to realize that ‘The Pick of Destiny’ was released almost 12 years ago.

Last time I saw Jack Black, he had joined a super-star cast at the Teragram Ballroom during a very memorable Prophets of Rage concert in January 2017, but 2018 will be a very Tenacious D year. This is what the famous duo has announced with its usual very concise style:

‘New Album 2018…..Probably
New Tour 2018…..DEFINITELY’

They will embark on their first U.S. tour in five years this fall with a stop by the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam 18 in San Bernardino, which will be their only west coast concert! Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 18th at 10 am in all local markets, and a high demand is expected for this highly anticipated reunion.

In 2018, they will also hard working on the follow up to their 2012’s ‘Rise of the Fenix’, and of course, their animated tour announcement video is at the image of the D, funny and going to the essential.
