Sunstock Solar Festival Has Announced Its Lineup

Robert DeLong at Make Music Pasadena in 2013

Los Angeles, mark your calendar for September 9th! If last year your summer began with the brand new Sunstock Solar Festival, the 100% solar-powered festival will almost mark the end of your 2017 summer.

The event had already announced its return a few weeks ago but the lineup was just revealed a few days ago: Ra Ra Riot, Robert DeLongRun River North and Wild Cub are at the top of the bill for the second edition of Sunstock Solar Festival, which will not return in Griffith Park but has rather found a new location at the Magic Box downtown LA.

Other bands will be announced later as the event has grown bigger this year, with a second stage already featuring local bands such as Freedom Fry, Bloodboy, the Fuzzy Crystals and of course the founder of the festival Trapdoor Social.

Sunstock Solar Festival is a one-day event benefitting nonprofits GRID Alternatives – whose mission is to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities – the Sierra Club, SoCal 350 Climate Action, Climate Hawks Vote, South Bay Clean Power, Food & Water Watch and Rootskeeper,

Beside the music, Sunstock Solar Festival has for mission to impassion and educate communities about sustainable and clean energies, building greener cities and greener futures, and it will feature solar powered light installations, green food trucks, immersive art, workshops, games, sustainable vendors, and social action opportunities

Sunstock Solar Festival is an all-age show and tickets are only $25 in advance ($30 at the door); $20 ($25) for students, seniors and military; and $12 ($17) for ages 16 and younger. Tickets are available here.
