France Joli was the teenage disco singer whose debut album, when she was all of fifteen, was executive produced by Giorgio Moroder. The singer, who famously told the “disco sucks” crowd to go fuck themselves, is a beautiful and exemplary representative for disco, with some big hits to her credit, including “Come To Me” and “Gonna Ger Over You” – essential crossover pop just after disco’s height.
