Sneak Peaks: Upcoming Album Releases 10-29-21 – 11-4-21

ABBA, Voyage – it was much more exciting a year ago

Aimee Mann, Queens Of The Summer Hotel – there was that time from Aimee, from 1993 – 2003, where no one was close to her skillset as a singer songwriter (she was great on stage as well, I saw her in the mid-90s at Irving Plaza where she performed an extended “Par For The Course” that remains with me to this day. And in the following twenty years? To quote the woman herself, whatever. That didn’t stop me from getting a ticket for her show at City Winery in late December. And while I wasn’t crazy about the new single from this erudite album, I am hungry enough to hear her so as I don’t care – MOST ANTICIPATED ALBUM OF THE WEEK

Brian Fallon, Night Divine – The Gaslight Anthem guy really feels this time of year

Connan Mockasin, Jassbusters Two

Curtis Harding, If Words Were Flowers

Diana Ross, Thank You -considering what it might have been… not bad

Hana Vu, Public Storage

Hanson, Against The World- the brothers managed to maneuver from teen dream boy band to indie rockers and have managed a successful career which this won’t hurt

Hard Feelings, Hard Feelings – aka Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard & Amy Douglas

Lea Michele, FOREVER – yeah, isn’t she cancelled for being an asshole? so not FOREVER but finite

Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, The Future – even of I liked em, I wouldn’t like em because of the band name

Nation of Language, A Way Forward – rocknyc alumni Woody Fuller recommends them

Neal Francis, In Plain Sight

Penelope Isles, Which Way To Happy

Portico Quartet,Monument

Radiohead, KID A MNESIA – my two favorite Radiohead albums as box set

Schoolly D, Cuz Schoolly D’s Crazy – the actual original gangsta returns

serpentwithfeet, Deacon’s Grove – this guy is circling my artist of the year…

Snail Mail, Valentine – this should break into Julien Baker land
