Comment: Three albums I should be thrilled about, I’m not: Van Morrison, Regina Spektor, and Bon Iver have been announced with disappointing singles. John Adams composed the greatest work in any medium in requiem for the victims of 9-11 (On The Transmogrification Of Souls) and anything he does is an event. Some more biggies: Suicidal Tendencies, Drive By Truckers, Bob Weird, and the post breakthrough Public Access TV. But I have heard the John Prine duets album and on first listen it is the best country album of the year.
