Comment: the least anticipated is easy, Macklemore has exact one good song to his name, “Thrift Shop,” and this aint that, Fergie shoulda stayed with Black Eyed Peas. The most anticipated: Tricky is past his prime, The Horrors are past their prime, Kevin Fates is a terrific gangsta rapper but he won’t shut up, Anvil? Cut Copy? The Killers? I think not. Any other week it would be punk rockers Metz, but a new album from Fairuz -Lebanon’s gift to world, and all other, music (try “El Bint El Shabelaya”). Her first in three years, the 81 year old giant, is an absolute must hear. She performed in Vegas in 1999 and how I wish I went.
