Sedated, the Ramones Cover Band From Dallas, Performing At the Pyramid Club, Sunday, October 28th, 2018

Okay, kids, this is a strange one for me. I know, I know, it’s not something I normally do.

Everyone knows about my love of the Ramones and my decades-long collaboration with them.

Normally I revile tribute bands. They are a fount of ridicule, I have walked out of cover acts and tribute bands a billion times. Except for mini Kiss. (another story, another time) I have tried to get my Ramones fix and have tried a few of the cover bands out there. I have mostly been disappointed. Okay, I love the Ramonas and I went to see Ramona! from South America. The booking agent didn’t know what they were about so they booked them into the scariest Spanish Nightclub in the Bronx that I have ever been in. they were fun, but it didn’t scratch that itch. They were different. Not even close. Still great fun, but not even close.

Today I recommend SEDATED. If you need to scratch the Ramones itch you can’t go wrong with these guys. Real Fans. True Fans. They are the best in Texas and I tell you they are probably the best in the country. They should play Rebellion in Blackpool next year. That’s pretty good. They have worked hard on their set. They play fast and understand the love people have for RAMONES because they love them even more. I promise I will be there too. What? George is leaving his home to see a band? Yes, it’s a rare occurrence. But I need it. I hope, I see you, people, out there too.

They say Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Don’t be embarrassed, It’s all about fun, heck, it will be a blast! Besides, it is a relatively early show and you can get dinner somewhere. I know I’ll be hungry.
