Rock Star Review: Jon Butcher: “Special Day”

Jon Butcher is as “Special” as his newly released album “Special Day.” A barrage of eclectic genres including blues, jazz, reggae and hardcore rock n roll, “Special Day” is a walk along the wild side. A solution to a depressed soul, the record is a high spirited, story themed array of smart lyrics and tight, Rockin’ instrumentals.

Jon Butcher is not merely an adventure, but the substance of what dreams are made of. Those listening to him will know forever what it’s like to fly. Originally from Boston and one of the influential musicians of the 80’s, Jon has shared the stage with greats including: The J Geils Band, BB King, Leland Sklar, Joey Belladonna, and others.

Probably one of  the best guitarists on the planet, as a Jimi Hendrix disciple, Jon is also Grammy nominated. “Special Day” includes “Devil’s Train to Houston”, “How Does it Feel”, “Sunset Boulevard” “Special Day” and other notable tracks. Each song has its own special…there’s that word again…attitude and story. Many are also accompanied by a flawless video similar to a short film as Jon also has his own production company called “Watercolors.”

“Special Day” can be streamed on all platforms and is available worldwide…..
