Award-winning composer, songwriter and pianist unveils the title track from Green Park, out via Cherry Red Records on September 25 — a deeply personal album inspired by his lifelong relationship with London
NEW YORK, NY — Friday, August 28, 2026 — Composer, singer/songwriter and pianist Randy Edelman has released “Green Park,” the title track from his forthcoming album of the same name, arriving September 25 on Cherry Red Records. The single offers the first glimpse of what Edelman calls one of the most personal and intimate records of his career — a ten-song collection dedicated to his lifelong memories of, and relationship with, London.
Best known for iconic film scores including The Last of the Mohicans, Dragonheart, Gettysburg, The Mask and Ghostbusters II, Edelman turns inward on Green Park, drawing on decades of personal experience in the city to explore themes of nostalgia, resilience, serenity and human connection. The album’s title track takes its name and inspiration directly from London’s Green Park, one of the city’s most cherished green spaces.
Written, performed and produced entirely by Edelman, Green Park was recorded in Los Angeles and partly mixed at Abbey Road Studios in London, with contributions from Trey Henry, Grant Geissman, Brian Scanlon, Susan Winsberg and Till Richter. The ten-track album blends Edelman’s gift for melody with the same cinematic storytelling sensibility that has defined his celebrated screen work.
The release arrives during a milestone year for Edelman on stage as well as in the studio. On December 19, he returns to Carnegie Hall for “American Original,” marking the third time in his career he has performed at the storied venue — an evening of solo piano, voice and storytelling that mirrors the intimacy at the heart of Green Park.
