Prophets Of Rage Share New Video Directed By Michael Moore, Announce New Album

Prophets Of Rage at the Teragram Ballroom

Prophets of Rage, the supergroup with members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy, and Cypress Hill, have just released a new video for their song ‘Unfuck the World’, and it’s directed by famous documentary filmmaker Michael Moore.

The Prophets and Michael Moore? This looks like a dream team to me. The collage features concert clips and numerous old and recent footage, taken from our usual news feeds and showing war zones, protest marches, endless social media aberrations and distractions, and obviously, Donald Trump is heavily represented in the video.

From black lives matter to the horrors of the food and pharmaceutical industries, from Flint’s water crisis to police brutality, from Wall Street greed to endless world leaders meetings and no solution in sight, the disastrous world situation is efficiently summed up in just 4 minutes. Meanwhile, the menacing song matches the alarming state of the world as it starts with a war hooter and continues with the band’s signature empowering Rage Against the Machine guitar chaos mixed with Chuck D/B-Real’s rap delivery.

Prophets of Rage will also drop their debut album this September, and it will feature 12 original new songs produced by Brendan O’Brien (RATM, Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Mastodon, AC/DC among many others…) , and some cover art by Shepard Fairey.

‘Unfuck the World’ is the first track Prophets of Rage are sharing, and the song is an authentic call to change the world. Let’s hope they will be heard.
