According to Fact Magazine, Radiohead has a new surprise in store for us. People learned it through a podcast and this is why it is important to listen to podcasts! However, there are so many of them I can barely keep up. Anyway, during a new episode of For Crying Out Loud, author/standup comedian/TV personality/blogger Stefanie Wilder-Taylor revealed that director Paul Thomas Anderson used her house to make the new Radiohead video:
‘Oh, this happened, I forgot to tell you! So, I’m at home and there’s a knock at the door… there’s a guy with a clipboard. I come to the door with a scowl on my face and the guy says, ‘Hey, we’re in the neighborhood, we’re going to be shooting a music video.’ So now, I’m thinking you’re basically telling me – what happens a lot in my neighborhood, because it’s a very typical suburban looking neighborhood – I’m gonna be inconvenienced.’
But it was more than using her neighborhood, they were planning to use her house: ‘Then the guy goes – ‘it’s Radiohead!’ I can’t tell you anything about it. I’m guessing that’s the non-disclosure part. Between us girls, Radiohead – I don’t give a shit, I don’t get it. I’ve heard one song I don’t care about – ‘Creep’. Yeah, you’re a creep and a loser and you’re putting me to sleep.’
‘Here’s the cool part. Then the next day, the guy goes, I wanna bring the director by your house… this guy comes in, says ‘hey, this is the director, Paul’… really normal looking guy. Then I say, ‘hey, you look kind of familiar… Have we met?’ Do you make anything apart from music videos?’
This woman is impressively ignorant and she definitively doesn’t deserved what happened to her, she barely knows Radiohead’s music and doesn’t recognize PTA? Paul had to explain he directed ‘There Will Be Blood’, and she said: ‘I was like, ‘Oh shit!’
when I first read the story, almost nobody was reporting about it, because the only source is this podcast and what this woman said, but now the cat is out if the bag… and why would she lie about artists she doesn’t even know? Plus Anderson has a long collaboration-history with Jonny Greenwood, who has worked on the soundtracks for his films ‘There Will Be Blood’, ‘The Master’ and ‘Inherent Vice’, while PTA directed Greenwood’s documentary ‘Junun’
In any case, Radiohead’s 9th album is expected to arrive later this year, and the Radiohead message board has 2,900 pages on the subject! talk about some obsessed fans.
