Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival will celebrate its 10th edition this year with a really great lineup, featuring top acts such as Metallica, The Who, Gorillaz, A Tribe Called Quest, Lorde, Queens of the Stone Age, Alt-J. Above & Beyond, Fleet Foxes, Empire of the Sun, The Avett Brothers, Belle and Sebastian, Solange, Future Islands… just to name a few acts which will perform on August 11, 12 and 13 in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
Outside Lands is the largest independent music festival in the country, and whereas many music festivals often feature the same acts over and over, OSL offer some real novelty. How many other musical event do you know which are headlined by Metallica, The Who and Gorillaz? Gorillaz doesn’t have a lot of other dates this early summer, and if a few other bands are also part of many other festivals (for example, A Tribe Called Quest, Little Dragon, Solange, Thundercat also play at the FYF fest), the diversity at OSL is still impressive.
The festival is a major event for the Bay Area during summer, as it attracts around 250,000 visitors each year. At the top of this amazing musical lineup festival goers will have access to 80 Bay Area restaurants, 40 Northern California wineries, 30 west coast breweries, and a collection of the region’s best cocktail bars.
You can get either 3-day or single-day GA tickets as well as VIP tickets via the festival’s website.
And today, the festival has also announced a series of night shows featuring Nightlife, Belle and Sebastian, Kali Uchis, Porches, Sleigh bells and Mon Laferte. Tickets for these special performances go on sale tomorrow.
