Yesterday, it was reported that Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil was going to play for Trump’s inauguration. He had got the call months in advance by Trump’s camp, since chief strategist and dark force lover Steve Bannon was absolutely certain of their victory, and Neil accepted:
‘The promoters asked if I was available, and I said yes…So we sent all of the band’s passports to the Secret Service so everybody can get in, and all of the crew people, not knowing who was winning. But we were already scheduled to play.’
What was he thinking? He was not thinking Trump could win apparently. ‘I don’t know how long I have to play,’ he said to Billboard. ‘I don’t know if the Republican Party says which [songs] to play and what not to do…It’s a little ways out. I’ll have more information as time goes on.’
However, Billboard updated its article yesterday night, and it seems he had spoken too soon, he wasn’t invited after all:
‘I was asked to do the inauguration two months ago no matter who won,’ he told TMZ. ‘As far as I knew, we were playing. It turns out when the Republicans won, we were uninvited. I didn’t know about the Democratic part of asking us to play. I assumed … it didn’t matter who won, it would still be a party. I guess there is more politics in bands playing than I thought there was. I just found out about this today when all this stuff came out when I was playing. I asked my guys, and they said once Trump won, it was all politics. I don’t know who’s playing Trump’s party, but God bless them.’
So I don’t know who got the story backward, Spin, Billboard or Neil, but it turned out that the phone call came from Hillary’s camp, and Republicans cancelled Neil… Mötley Crüe is not on Trump’s list. The funny thing is that this idiot was ready to play for Republicans, which gives me a hint about whom he voted for,.. So who’s gonna play at the end? One thing is certain, Trump will always have Kanye West now that he has come out as a fervent supporter.
