MadeinTYO enlists A$AP Ferg for new video

WATCH: “Ned Flanders” ft. A$AP Ferg –
Today, MadeinTYO is sharing a new video. The previously-released track “Ned Flanders” featuring A$AP Ferg receives a Lonewolf-directed visual that sees the two rappers kicking back at a New York barbershop to prepare for a wild night in Chinatown. The song signals the second time MadeinTYO has linked up with the Harlem native and A$AP Mob member, who is responsible for hits like the 2x Platinum single “Plain Jane,” “New Level” feat. Future, and “Work.” “Ned Flanders” has accrued over 25 million streams since it was released on June 1 via Private Club/Commission Records/BMG and was featured on Zane Lowe’s “Best of the Week” Beats 1 playlist on Apple Music upon its release. The visual is being featured on Spotify’s Rap Caviar playlist, capping off the song’s success.
Speaking on how the idea for the visual came together, Lonewolf says, “We wanted to have a theme that matched the production of the song so we were thinking like downtown New York. We were walking around Chinatown and saw this barber shop so I paid the guy to use his shop and paid him extra to be in the video. Working with Tokyo is always all love. He has always rocked with me so it’s always love. Ferg was great too, he trusted my vision and everything was easy.”
MadeinTYO grew up on military bases across the US before spending most of his teenage years at high school in Japan. Following high school he moved to Atlanta to focus on music with his older brother, 24Hrs. MadeinTYO made his debut with the single “Uber Everywhere” in 2016, which would crack the Billboard Hot 100, be remixed featuring Travis Scott, and eventually be certified double platinum. He later scored a gold single with “I Want” (the remix of which featured 2 Chainz), and a platinum single with “Skateboard P” from his mixtape Thank You, Mr. Tokyo (the remix of which featured Big Sean), before releasing his debut mixtape You Are Forgiven. More recently he dropped his EP 24Hrs in Tokyo (a collaborative effort with his brother) followed by True’s World. To date MadeinTYO has two Top 10 radio records under his belt, with an album in the works.
