Live Through This: rock nyc’s Top Concert Picks Week Of June 8th, 2020

Here at alternative rocknyc we are recovering from Governors Ball and basking in the glory that is Missy Elliott. And deciding what to do this week. So what should we do?

Cafe Carlyle Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. That’s what we should do. We should go there and check out the Go-Go with the MoMost. Once she dropped her puppy fat (bulimia and coke will do that) and her bad girl, groupie fucking, wild LA dates, she became the Go-Go to keep an eye on, and while her solo career could have been more successful in theory, in practise five hit singles ain’t bad.

The tour is called decades but she means the 1980s, and she was set to tour through 2021 anyway, so maybe Belinda will re-schedule.

What else? She has been married to the great English actor James Mason’s son Morgan Mason since 1986.
