Live Through This: rock nyc’s Top Concert Picks Week Of April 13th, 2020
Well, I have a pick and what is missing is a concert. I’ve seen Sinead twice for rock nyc (one so-so, one rave) and Alyson Camus saw Sinead earlier this year (here) in LA before guess what? Yes, Tuesday’s show is… POSTPONED! The new normal, where you pay $150 for a ticket and never get the money back and never see the concert. This would have been my first show at the new City Winery, and the only thing I knew about the place is an abiding distaste for wine and Mike Dorff meets a bigger and more uncomfortable venue where they mistake you for a sardine…
The other concert I am missing this week is Beach Slang, a minor bucket list entry, and at Brooklyn Steel so who knows but I might not have gone because Brooklyn in the middle of nowhere on a weeknight?
So Alyson got to see her and I am waiting another year or some such thing before the world comes to an end
