Live Through This: rock nyc Concert Picks Week Of February 15th, 2016

Winston’s boy and Mercury Award winner Clementine is an absolute must see. He is playing Mercury Lounge next week, I’m waiting for that one but one way or the other the chance to see the man behind At Least For Now is an absolute imperative, Wednesday at Rough Trade.

Monday – Maxwell And Nas – Prudential Center – From Barclays last week to the Rock this week, the boys don’t know…

Wednesday – Never Shout Never – Santos Playhouse – Is he still alive? The badboy of indie pop has been awful quiet, maybe time to catch up.

Thursday – Summer is Forever II – Best Coast & Wavves with Cherry Glazerr – Terminal 5 – I promise you, if that was anywhere else in the city I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Am I the only person who has loved Best Coast more with every album? Plus that Governors Ball performance in a storm? She was so pissed off, I felt like I’d found a kindred spirit.I’ve seen Wavves twice, great once, not so much the next time.

Friday – Daryl Hall And John Oates – When I saw em at the rock n roll hall of fame, I thought they were overcooked (plus I don’t like Sharon Jones), still it might be worth another look.
